  I have just spent a week with Jimena and Alfredo. I fully endorse all the positive opinions left here! I could copy-paste them;-)! Jimena and Alfredo created for me a perfect mix of holidays and work and an equally perfect equilibrium between treating me like a family member and mine and indeed theirs need of privacy. They truly do what they describe on their website: they take into account your needs and preferences, both in learning as in things of everyday life. You get all you need to study (books, laptop , TV, WiFi...) and to relax (a spacious room with a true mountain view, a very comfortable bed, an electric water cooker, a yoga mat and many hiking possibilities - while hiking, you practice your Spanish of course, as Jimena and/or Alfredo will go with you). They are very patient teachers who share with their students not only the rules of Spanish grammar (they do it very well) but most of all their love for their language and country.

  We recently stayed with Jimena and Alfredo, our charming hosts and teachers, in their home in La Peral. The hamlet of La Peral is high in the Somiedo Natural Park with amazing views of the spectacular scenery and plenty of scope for varied walks. My wife and I had been learning Spanish at evening classes and were a little nervous at the prospect of a weeks Spanish immersion but we needn't have worried. Lessons were at our level and we followed the mealtime discussions gaining confidence to join in as the week progressed. Our room was large and accommodating complete we stove for those chilly evenings. Jimena followed out dietary requirements and produced delicious meals introducing us to some traditional Asturian dishes. We enjoyed all aspects of the course from the talking to the walking and hope to return one day.

  My daughter, her friend, and I spent a week at this incredibly special place. The accomodations were lovely, the food, homecooked by Jimena was awesome everyday. We took hikes everyday in the surrounding mountains. We are from Wyoming and have hiked many beautiful mountains, but everyday here was amazing. One of our all time favorite travel weeks. To top it off, Alfredo and Jimena are terrific hosts and Spanish teachers.

  They are wonderful hosts, extremely welcoming and friendly and easy to get on with. We had lots of fun with them, and all in Spanish! They have the knack of speaking just slowly enough to make it possible for us to understand them, yet stretching us just enough as well.

  We had an amazing week with Jimena and Alfredo in their lovely home high in the Picos. Our room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, equipped with all that we could have needed, and Jimena's cooking is sublime. She produced an array of imaginative and extremely tasty vegetarian meals throughout the week.

  It is a bit risky telling the world how good our experience was, as we don't want to find that they are all booked up for next year when we want to go back and spend longer in that little corner of paradise!
